Working with Caroline gave me the confidence that I needed to make business decisions for my company. I was hemorrhaging money, but didn't want to admit it, since I was getting a lot of attention for my business. I think I had $500 left on my credit limit when I hired Caroline. Her expertise and support meant that I had less anxiety and was able to be a smarter business woman.

WHAT DOES THIS LOOK LIKE?

Owning a business is hard! My job is to help you find ease, clarity, and growth in the financial aspects of that work. Think of me as your part-time CFO, but a really nice one with fun clothes.

STEP 1: Client Inquiry

  • A free 20 minute consultation call (book here!) where we chat through what you’re looking for and I answer questions about my work.

Or

  • You fill out the Client Inquiry form and I respond via email with follow up questions and answer any questions you have. I sometimes respond via Loom video so you can see and hear me!

  • After the call/email session I follow up with a proposal that includes:

    • An outline of your strategy and support goals

    • Proposal for the scope of our work together (i.e. time commitment, cadence, and pricing)

    • A link to schedule your first session

  • If you decide to move forward with the plan (i.e. you book a session) then you move to step 2!

STEP 2: Pre-Work

  • Review and sign the Client Service Agreement

  • Owning a business is hard! My job is to help you find ease, clarity, and growth in the financial aspects of that work. Think of me as your part-time CFO, but a really nice one with fun clothes.

  • Pre-work usually includes:

    • Answering a few questions about how you feel about specific financial goals or questions (i.e. what does financial success mean for your business? Is it being able to pay yourself a certain amount? Reach a certain number of clients? Expand to a certain region?). These answers help me understand your financial values and goals in a deeper way.

    • Filling out a spreadsheet with some financial facts (note: I don’t always have folks do this as pre-work since, for some people, it can be overwhelming to do before the first session)

  • From there we move to my favorite step!

STEP 3: The Work-Work

  • I typically meet with my Business Strategy and Support clients twice per month. During our meetings we review progress towards goals, discuss potential strategies for approaching business challenges (using projections and models I put together), implement new systems, and create action plans.

  • I always follow up after meetings with a list of action items, any relevant links (to our = notes doc, toolkits, or videos), and reminders about our next meetings.

  • In between meetings you have access to me via email at any time. Each week I work and complete independent projects on your behalf (i.e. analyze funding opportunities and create relevant projections; put together operations strategy; implement new pricing models, etc.). Basically, I take all the financial projects off your list -- even ones you didn’t know should be there!
